About us

Embiam was formed in 2003 to provide contract development services to local product development companies using a range of technologies. Our projects spanned a diverse range of industries including intelligent automation, robotics, IP telecommunications, sensing and machine vision to name a few.

The majority of projects began to focus around the development of intelligent embedded devices. Customers began asking for more direction on suitable hardware and software platforms for these devices.

Having had exposure to a large number of technologies we were well placed to select a set that we believed were best suited to the requirements of our projects, while providing the most cost-effective product development process to our clients.

In 2004 we standardized on Microsoft technology. These being Windows Embedded (both XP Embedded and WinCE) and the .NET frameworks for software development. We are now a Windows Embedded partner.

Embiam is based in and operates from New Zealand. From here we service a broad range of customers from around the globe.
